Introduction

We are a Scout Group based in Greenview Secondary School, Pasir Ris, Singapore. Registered with the Singapore Scout Association, the Cuon Scout Group comprised of 4 distinct units. Catering to a diverse group ranging from 09 years old to 26 years old.

We hold our training weekly, on Saturdays, starting from 8am to 1pm. Our activities include Scouting Games, Testwork (Progressive, Proficiency Scheme, and NYAA), Pioneering, Sports and Physical fitness, Footdrill, Combined activities with Guides and Scouts from other Units, Community Services, Patrol activities, etc.

To make our training more interesting, we organise special activities. For example we have camps, navigation & orienteering, cycling expedition, abseiling practices, air-gun shooting sessions, archery, kayaking, etc. We will strive to keep our programmes fresh and relevant, always making it fun and challenging for our members.

Cuon Scout Cubs

Age Group: 09 to 12 years old.

Organisation: Group into 6 six: Blue, Green, Orange, Red, White and Yellow.

Each six comprises of 6 Cub Scouts.

Each six is led by a Sixer, and assisted by an Assistant Sixer.

Activities include:

  • Scouting Games
  • Testwork (Progressive, Proficiency Scheme and awarness badges)
  • Basic Pioneering & Campcraft
  • Sports and Physical fitness
  • Combined activities with Brownies and Scouts from other Units
  • Community Services

Cuon Scouts

Age Group: 13 to 16 years old.

Organisation: Group into 6 patrols: Lion, Bear, Elephant, Tiger, Jackal and Panther.

Each patrol comprises of 5 to 8 Scouts.

Each patrol is led by a Patrol Leader (PL), and assisted by an Assistant Patrol Leader (APL); the APL is also the patrol's Quartermaster (QM).

  • High-Ropes Elements
  • Scouting Games
  • Testwork (Progressive, Proficiency Scheme, and NYAA)
  • Pioneering & Campcraft
  • Sports and Physical fitness
  • Footdrill
  • Combined activities with Guides and Scouts from other Units
  • Community Services
  • Patrol activities

Cuon Scout Ventures

Age Group: 15 to 18 years old.

Organisation: Self-governed, Executive Committees (EXCO).

Each EXCO comprises of 4 to 8 Ventures.

Each EXCO is led by its Chairperson, assisted by its Vice-Chairperson and further supported by its Quartermaster, Scribe, Manpower Officer, and Treasurer.

  • High-Ropes Elements
  • Testwork (Venture Standard, President Scout Award, and NYAA)
  • Pioneering & Campcraft
  • Sports and Physical fitness
  • Footdrill
  • Sea & Land Expedition
  • Overnight Cycling trips
  • Rappelling & Abseiling
  • Backwoodsman & Outdoor
  • Survival

Cuon Scout Rovers

Age Group: 18 to 26 years old.

Organisation: Self-governed, Roundtable.

The Roundtable is led by the Chairperson, assisted by its Vice-Chairperson and further supported by its Quartermaster, and Scribe.

Activities include:

  • Kayaking
  • Sports-climbing
  • Archery
  • High-Ropes Elements
  • Testwork (Rover Progress Scheme, Baden-Powell Award, and NYAA)
  • Scout of the World Award
  • Sea & Land Expedition
  • Overnight Cycling trips
  • Rappelling & Abseiling
